Blackjack is a game that most definitely reminds me a rollercoaster. It is a game that starts off slowly, but gradually picks up the pace. As you ramp up your profit, you feel as though you are slowly getting to the top of the coaster and then when you don’t expect it, the bottom collapses.
Blackjack is so incredibly like a rollercoaster the similarities are spooky. As is the case with the popular amusement experience, your blackjack game will peak and things will appear as though they are going well for a time before it bottoms out yet again. Undoubtedly you have to be a gambler who is able to readjust to the ups … downs of the game simply because the game of blackjack is packed full of them.
If you like the tiny coaster, a coaster that will not go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the coaster ride is with a bigger wager, then jump on for the mad ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big spender will love the view from the monster rollercoaster because he/she is not thinking about the drop as they rush headlong to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that’s an amazing feeling, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
If you do not, you will not necessarily recount how much you enjoyed life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a great ride … your head in the clouds. As you are recalling "what ifs", you won’t recount how "high up" you went but you will have memories of that catastrophic fall as clear as day.
